About Melissa

Biluge Melissa Ruchogeza was born in the democratic republic of Congo. She was raised in the Congo until age 13, Boston age 14 and Calgary until 18. She attended university of Alberta in Edmonton, where she graduated with a Major in economics and Minor in mathematics. Melissa Enjoys volunteering in her free time especially with organizations focused on education, and eradicating poverty. Melissa comes from a humble background and held many jobs before working for one of the five major Banks in Canada. Melissa noticed a gap in financial knowledge especially with young adults and immigrants to Canada; she decided to share her insight with hope of closing the gap through Meet Your Money by helping people understand basic financial literacy.
